So I took Matt's advice, what did I do? I bought a scanner. (Well, its a printer/scanner/photocopier) so I hope to had more stuff up lately.
HURRAY FOR SCANNERS.
Now I need a tablet >.<

ours is a pretty good one but we ran out of ink on the printer part of ours so its just a scanner for now lol
Naw, I don't have the money for a tablet, dear god I'm lucky this ensemble was on sale. lol xD;

Well firstly what I do is scan in my drawing and then load it on PS, and change the mode to greyscale (Because if its Index, you cant edit the layer as well).
Then I double click the background layer to transform it to a normal layer, and then drop the opacity to 50% or less (its easier to trace that way). Because of that though, the checkered background will show through as a result of transparency, so i create another layer underneath the drawing layer and fill it with white so i can see the drawing.
Then i create a third layer on top of the drawing layer and grab the tablet and try to trace as best as i can. While tracing though, I occassionally switch off the visibility of the drawing layer so i can see how my traced layer look without it (because if you just trace through without checking, chances are there'll be some lines that go wonky).
